Addressing the Youth Mental Health Crisis

MHALA’s President and CEO Dr. Christina Miller and Catrina Flores, Senior Clinical Director and Director of TAY Services in Long Beach, wrote about youth mental health for the Black Health in America supplement running in the Dec. 30 edition of the LA Times.

Last year, as the pandemic was at its peak, Michelle Obama disclosed that she had been experiencing low-grade depression, largely in response to events that were consuming all of us — COVID-19 and racial unrest.
