MHALAβs outreach teams engage individuals throughout Los Angeles County who are living on the streets, in encampments, in parks, and in other public spaces to establish relationships and connect them to services.
These outreach teams are multidisciplinary and include outreach specialists, nurses, social workers, substance abuse counselors, and people with lived experience.
MHALAβs teams serve individuals identified as the most vulnerable and strive to meet people where they are in order to address basic needs and connect them to ongoing services, including:
- Mental health services
- Medical services
- Substance abuse linkages
- Linkage to temporary housing/shelters
- Permanent housing
- Benefits

- Wellness services
