Mental Health America of Los Angeles Holds Open House in Honor of Mental Health Awareness Month 

MHALA open house in Antelope Valley, Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 4:30-7:00 pm. In partnership with Take Action for Mental Health LA County and LA County Department of Mental Health.

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) will celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with an open house on May 31, 2023. The event, held at MHALA’s Lancaster location, will highlight the tremendous impact MHALA has made in the community.

MHALA, which was founded nearly a century ago, first expanded services to Lancaster in 1988 as an adult community health program. MHALA now has 24 sites throughout Los Angeles, including Antelope Valley, and serves nearly 17,000 low and no-income individuals.

“MHALA has a long history of establishing needed mental health services in underserved communities throughout Los Angeles,” said Christina Miller, PhD, president and CEO of MHALA. “We’re thrilled to invite the community to meet our team and broaden awareness of what we have done and continue to do.”

Services MHALA provides throughout its Antelope Valley and Long Beach locations include:

MHALA’s Lancaster open house will be held from 4:30pm to 7:00pm at 506 West Jackman Street, Lancaster, Calif., 93534, and will feature tours of the facility as well as presentations from MHALA members.

The open house is being held in partnership with Take Action for Mental Health LA County and the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health.
