MHALA is hosting a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs mobile medical unit at our Palmdale location monthly. On the second Tuesday of each month from 10am-2pm, eligible Veterans can stop by to receive on-the-spot healthcare and wellness checks, connections to housing resources and other services, and assistance with disability claims. 

Available services include:

• Flu and COVID-19 vaccines
• Blood pressure checks
• Blood sugar checks
• Fentanyl and Xylazine testing kits
• Primary and urgent care
• Wound care
• Referrals and appointments for other VA-based care

During the first event in April, our Veterans Program was able to successfully screen and enroll two Veterans who could benefit from our services. Events are scheduled through the end of the year.
