Why We Wear a Mask
Mental Health America of Los Angeles serves over 9,000 people each year. All 9,000 are vulnerable in some way.
Some are veterans who developed health problems after military injuries. Some are young adults who aged out of foster care or left home to escape abuse. Others are people who developed serious mental health challenges – often accompanied by deteriorating physical health. Some are seniors with a long history of trauma and health problems.
These are among the individuals who are at high risk from COVID-19 if they get exposed. All are persevering to live their best life.
Please join me and MHALA’s 400 staff members in wearing masks to protect everyone in our community who is vulnerable to COVID-19.
When we look out for each other, our entire community flourishes.
